Multiplayer for HTML5 Games is an online add-on built with Node.js and Socket.io. It provides a responsive lobby where players can join public rooms to play together, or create private rooms and invite friends using a unique room code.

Players can choose between offline or online mode. In online mode, they can join a public room or create a private room to play with friends across different devices (desktop, mobile, or tablet).
Alternatively, online play can be set to Quick Match, where the server automatically finds opponents and starts the game instantly—skipping the manual steps of entering a name or joining a room.
There are more than 25 compatible HTML5 games available. Plus, enjoy a free “Guess the Sketch” game with up to 4 players, where each player takes turns sketching while others guess—the fastest correct guess scores points.
Some basic knowledge of Node.js and GitHub is required to deploy the app to hosting (Node.js).

Open the game in two different browsers to test the online multiplayer feature.

All compatible games can run both Multiplayer and Scoreboard add-ons together (Standalone version only, not WordPress Plugin).
Multiplayer runs on Node.js, while Scoreboard uses PHP MySQL. To use both features fully (including the Scoreboard Admin Panel), you’ll need to set them up on different server.
